Dreaded be the day
So today was our division's Christmas present exchange. Ugh. What a beating. You would have to be Houdini to try and miss something like this, since it is on company time. Smile, nod, act like you are having a jolly time. How awkward...
And then it's to the presents. Chinese Exchange style. See what someone gets, and make SURE you are last, unless the gifts get "frozen" after a certain number of tries. Then you want to be first, with the hopes of someone stealing your gift a few times. Or maybe somewhere in the middle. EITHER WAY YOU GET THE SHAFT! You bring something decent, because you don't want to embarrass yourself by buying the crappiest gift in the room that no one steals... just to recieve... the crappiest gift in the room that NO ONE wants to steal! What gives!!! Next year, I am calling in sick! BAH HUMBUG!!!

Chinese Exchange at the office is the way to go because if you had to gift everyone, some co-workers would get lumps of coal and gift wrapped horse apples and that doesn't go over very well at review time...
